Gov. John Bel Edwards announced that following continued improvement in Louisiana’s COVID-19 outlook and a significant increase in testing capacity and contact tracing, Louisiana is ready to move to Phase 2 of the White House’s reopening strategy on June 5.
Our office is following Phase 2 guidelines, and here are the details of Phase 2 in Louisiana: https://gov.louisiana.gov/index.cfm/newsroom/detail/2521
We are continuing to do business, it’s just a bit different than usual. We will check your temperature before we allow you into the office, and you will be asked to wear a mask. If you don’t have a mask, we will supply you with one.
We can conduct a meeting with the help of technology, e.g. Facetime, Google Hangouts, Zoom, Go to Meeting and all the different apps and services out there, if that’s what you prefer.
We still have access to the courthouse and all the ordinary tools of conducting legal business. We are handling our clients’ business. It is, for the most part, business as usual.
We ask that you please do your part to get us all through this period. Here’s a link to the CDC for things to do to protect yourself and what to do if you think you are sick: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
Stay safe and feel free to call us if you need us.
We will continue to post updates as called for.
